I woke up to my phone ringing at 7:15am and it was my training officer, Kyle telling me that I needed to call an Officer down at the Police Department. I ask why and he says he doesn't know but that it is urgent. So Mike takes my hand and we are prepared to get awful, terrible news. And when he comes on the line he sounds very serious. At this point my hand is shaking and Mike is barely breathing. And then he tells me that the reason he is calling is because...there is a beagle dog that was impounded 5 days ago and wanted to know if I be able to take it. I was so mad I could have cried and screamed at the same time but I tried to pretend that I was fine because he was just trying to do a good deed.
After I showered and woke up a bit, it became funny because I realized I must be thought of as the beagle rescuer of Junction City. Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE my dog. She is spoiled and sweet and drives Mike nuts! Thankfully, another woman that understands beagles took her home. Which is probably good because I already picked out a name for her and was trying to figure out how I would break the news to Mike:) I don't think either one of my two babies (Mike or Molly) would have liked another beagle coming home with me!
